Open Arts & Music Festival (OAM) is an all-day event on September 16, 2017, inviting artists, performers, local businesses and vendors to activate Downtown Glendale. Through music, public art installations, activities for children, and featured businesses, the Open Arts & Music Festival creates an immersive, engaging, and fun environment for residents of The City of Glendale and outlying areas.

Open Shows

Open Shows is a year-round, multi-city initiative showcasing artists and performers in the greater LA area, some of whom are participating in each year’s Open Arts & Music Festival in Downtown Glendale. Through performances and events in established venues such as The Alex Theatre or The Complex to temporary activation of alternative city spaces such as the Forest Lawn patio in Glendale or Glendale Central Library, Open Shows provides a platform for artists leading up to the Open Arts & Music Festival while also increasing brand awareness to target audiences in the greater Los Angeles area.

PopUp!

POPUP! programs free arts, health, and entertainment events in the City of Glendale, with a focus on underserved communities, and is presented by Glendale Arts, a private nonprofit organization. Each event is free of charge thanks to partnerships with local businesses and organizations as well as financial support generated through the organization’s Art Fund. Each POPUP! event offers an opportunity for communities to explore a variety of art experiences and engage in healthy living workshops. Programs include literary events, music concerts, film screenings, drawing workshops, yoga and pilates sessions, cooking classes and more.

The Taste of Downtown Glendale

Located in Glendale’s bustling Downtown District, The Taste of Downtown Glendale is the city’s premier food and wine festival. The Taste of Downtown Glendale was started in 2001 by Glendale Healthy Kids, and highlights the growing and evolving City of Glendale’s culinary scene. Now produced and managed by Glendale Arts, the event boasts over 30 restaurants to sample, multiple wine and beer stations, live music along the route, and family-friendly activities, it’s no surprise this is an event people look forward to every year.
