The City of Glendale Presents 2019 ARMENIAN GENOCIDE COMMEMORATIVE EVENT

FreeThe City of Glendale is proud to present the 2019 Armenian Genocide Commemorative Event. The Commemoration honors the lives of 1.5 million men, women, and children who suffered and perished 104 years ago and serves as a reminder to young people of all ethnicities that such atrocities can be prevented if we work together to understand cultural differences and find acceptance.
Held once again at the historic Alex Theatre, this year’s event will feature many local musical and dance performances as well as appearances by distinguished guests and leaders from throughout the community.
This year’s program includes special remarks by Ambassador Armen Baibourtian – Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles and performances by the Glendale High School Choir, Zvartnots Dance Ensemble, and Jacob Armen Featuring His Band and the Glendale College Concert Singers and Homenetmen Ararat Chapter Choir, Conducted by Dr. Peter Green.
