Alex Film Society Presents HOUSE OF WAX (1953) FEATURING A TRIBUTE TO VINCENT PRICE

Considered the film that revitalized Vincent Price’s career, HOUSE OF WAX was the start of what would ultimately be a long line of spooky genre films that comprised the majority of his career and forever earned him a place in the world of the macabre.
Directed by Andre De Toth, HOUSE OF WAX also stars Phyllis Kirk, Frank Lovejoy, Paul Picerni, Paul Cavanagh, Charles Bronson (billed as Charles Buchinsky), and Carolyn Jones who would later portray her signature role of Morticia Addams on The Addams Family television series.
There will be a special tribute to Vincent Price hosted by author, historian, and Vincent’s longtime friend David Del Valle plus the Vincent Price Art Museum will be on hand. Join us as we pay tribute to the ‘Master of Menace’ himself, Vincent Price!
