SUMMARY:Los Angeles Ballet Academy Presents A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM
DESCRIPTION:Kick off your summer entertainment with a magical ballet based on Shakespeare’s popular comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream. \nYou can enjoy romance in all its guises to the evocative music of Mendelssohn with the talented dancers of Los Angeles Ballet Academy. The mischievous fairy Puck plays a pivotal role in the comic adventures and misadventures\, quarrels and re-unitings of two pairs of mortal lovers\, and the king and queen of the fairies\, Oberon and Titania. And don’t miss the hilarious scene when rustic Bottom\, turned into a Donkey\, becomes the object of the Fairy Queen’s affection – a perfect illustration of the adage ‘love is blind’! \nBut all’s well that ends well\, with our lovers reconciled in a wedding celebration set to Mendelssohn’s beautiful ‘Wedding March’ that concludes the performance. \nPraised for productions that are ‘magical’ (Culture Spot )\, ‘mesmerizing’ (LA Beat )\, and ‘a work of art\,’ ‘very professional\,’ and ‘choreographed to perfection’ (Meet Up )\, LA Ballet Academy’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a dance event not to be missed. One performance only!
