Known for incorporating musical influences ranging from Mid-Eastern sounds to Electronic\, Funk\, Lo-Fi and Dance music\, Bei Ru has released two albums independently (LITTLE ARMENIA\, SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE MAGIC LAMP)\, and his most recent\, LA ZOOO\, via the Fat Beats imprint. In addition\, he has scored music for films such as A GIRL WALKS HOME ALONE AT NIGHT\, I SMILE BACK\, I PROMISED HER LIFE and others\, as well as for television programs\, including HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. DESCRIPTION:Assemblymember Laura Friedman is happy to announce that her office has begun taking submissions for the second 43rd Assembly District Photography Competition. \nLast year\, photographers used their talents and skills to explore and tell the stories of the communities that make up the 43rd Assembly District. This year\, she is again calling upon photographers to capture the identity of our communities and neighborhoods. \nTwenty photographs will be selected to be displayed at a gallery event hosted by Assemblymember Laura Friedman on October 11th in Glendale. At this event she will announce ten winning photographs that will be displayed at her Capitol and District offices for one year. \nAll ages and levels of proficiency are welcome to participate. Photographs will be judged anonymously by a panel of professional photographers. The works will be scored on the participant’s ability to communicate and capture the story of their community. \nYou must be a resident of Assembly District 43 to compete. All formats (digital\, film) will be accepted.
