Jewel City Scene – Customer Service Rules at Golden Touch

Customer Service rules at Golden Touch Beauty Salon and Supply on Foothill in North Glendale.  Owner Annie Voskanion goes out of her way to make customers comfortable and enjoy themselves whether it be sharing her Mediterranean cruise photos or a surprise birthday cake for one of her staff with all of us singing Happy Birthday.  That’s in addition to the freshly made Armenian coffee and plates of bakery cookies that magically appear on a regular basis.

Having one’s hair done well could be more than enough and at very reasonable rates, but amenities never seem to cease as Annie goes out of her way to fit in last minute appointment requests even for a Sunday morning.  Then there are those tempting stacks of fashion magazines and weekly tabloids to spur amusing conversation.

Annie also features the best face, hair and nail products from around the world with helpful instructions on exactly how to use them and then drops samples in your bag to boot.

Last summer she managed to keep things going and cheerful for everyone even though her home up the hill was being threatened by the Station Fire and subsequent mud slides.

Most recently she’s offering relaxing mani /pedi’s to round out this charming experience but I keep asking if she knows anyone who can read those grounds at the bottom of that great cup of coffee…
